Burying the Bourbon | A Southern Tradition
Occasionally I see posts from our brides and grooms where they have a shovel in one hand and a bottle of bourbon in the other. They are carrying on the Southern tradition in the hopes to have perfect weather for their wedding day. There are a few guidelines that you are supposed to follow.
- Bury an unopened bottle of bourbon (upside down) exactly one month before the wedding day
- Towards the end of the night dig up the bottle and enjoy it with your guests
I have to say burying it on the site of your wedding venue might reduce your deposit, so don't blame me! Maybe you can just bury it in your backyard and hope for the best!
